Pixmobi has been entirely thought out and designed for the creation of mobile websites.

First, The administrators interface :

Ergonomic very advanced and divided into two parts (parameters on one side and preview on the other), the interface considerably increases productivity and above all allows the user to work "In context" with real time preview of different (mobile) screen sizes.

Next, The functionalities :

Pixmobi contains numerous functions specific to the mobile web.

For example, user zoom (enables the user to dynamically change viewport¹) or mobile captcha² function, which considerably improves the experience of the mobile visitor.

"Mobile icons" management (Touch-Icon, Fav-Icon, Startup-Image..) or QRcode³ which facilitates access to your mobile site due to the detection of the mobile capacity. Images are automatically optimised to the screen size.

Lastly the mobile emulator :

The construction of a website is not done on a mobile phone. It is difficult to have all of the mobile phones available on the market in order to test your site. Using the integrated mobile emulator, you can test your pages on different mobiles and at different dates (based on publication periods) before publishing them.

Two sites with the same content

Having two sites does not necessarily generate twice the work. Using the functionality of "Content Picker" you can automatically retrieve content from your traditional site (such as news) :

1. Directly from your online site by selecting the type and zone of the information to retrieve using "Web scraper",
2. By connecting Pixmobi to your current CMS (Joomla, Wordpress, Typos3...) with the "CMS plug",
3. By calling a web service that returns structured contents who are customizable in the "Web service connector",
4. Or simply by selecting the information from an XML feed (RSS, Atom or XML) by using "XML connector".

Pixmobi contains all the functionalities of the best CMS on the market, but not only that.
In addition to the specific dedicated mobile functionality, Pixmobi allows you to create your site without any particular development or technical skills.

From the structuring of content to its presentation, everything is done using a visual interface or simply by setting parameters (see general construction logic)

The definition of graphic styles is supported by a CSS⁵ editor, and the construction of pages is effected by simple Drag &Drop.

Contrary to certain frameworks⁶ which are essentially based on the capabilities offered by HTML 5, Pixmobi enables the construction of sites which are just as rich and ergonomic but which are compatible with all types of mobile, both Smartphones and terminals equipped with older generation navigators.

Architecture

Developed in PHP / Zend in a LAMP environment, Pixmobi is an extensive platform composed of several technical "blocks" :

1. Pix Content Manager : A powerful and evolving content management system which enables the creation and modification of all site information.
2. Pix Content Picker : Content retrieval manager in order to re-use existing information from external sources (existing sites, RSS feeds, ...).
3. Pix Layout Designer : Advanced design functions which enable the management of the graphical presentation of your site pages.
4. Pix Page Manager : System enabling the management of the site structure and hierarchy.
5. Pix Device Detection : Automatic detection enabling the adaptation of pages based on mobile terminal capabilities.
